Plaster and Render solutions

What is the difference between Render and Plaster?

Render is for external use and plaster is used on the inside of buildings and therefore does not need to be weather resistant.

The consistency of the mortar is the primary differentiating factor between plasters and renders.

Rendering involves the use of more cement because it has to be weather resistant, unlike plaster which contains less cement.

Renders come in different textures and colours, whereas plaster is used for a smooth finish as a base for your decorating requirements.
