Lime Pointing

When sand and cement mortar is used for repointing on external walls, it can cause a build-up of moisture that is trapped in the building. This normally only occurs in older properties.

To alleviate this problem, Lime Mortar is used in place of the sand and cement joints.

This is a time consuming job but the benefits of using the correct material should make a huge difference to your property.

If the brick/stone work is in a good condition, to reduce costs, it may be best for you to choose Lime Pointing rather than Lime Render.

If you want to keep the current visual aesthetics of your property/building this may be the best solution.

This work can be carried out at any time of the year, however extra precautions may need to be taken to protect the mortar in extreme weather conditions.

We will visit your property/premises and offer the best solution based on the information that you have supplied and our expert opinion.
