Direct Bond (Dot & Dab)
Direct Bond (Dot and Dab) is when plasterboards are fixed to internal blocks or brick walls using dry wall adhesive.
The benefit of using Direct Bond (Dot and Dab) is that it dries out quicker than using 2 coat wet plaster, which may be more beneficial to you, if you are working on a project and are short of time.
When choosing to have Direct bond (dot and dab) work carried out, you still have the option to choose which types of plasterboard you would prefer.
There are many different types of plasterboards and thicknesses available to suit your needs. You can purchase plasterboards to insulate from the cold, insulated boards can also reduce noise, they can be fire or water resistant. Acoustic boards can be purchased specifically to reduce noise between rooms.
